URGENT AND IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUESTED!!!
We are far from
our goal of raising the funds we need this year to save the
State film and infrastructure tax incentive program. This
financial assistance is necessary to pay our lobbyists and most
importantly, to pay a professional independent research firm to
prepare an Arizona economic fiscal impact study. Other States
are generating studies showing the powerful economic impact of a
successful film incentive program to their States, and without
such a study specific to Arizona, which can cost upwards of
$50,000, our program will disappear. This is not a possibility,
but a political and economic reality during this tough economic
time here in Arizona where the legislature is seeking to cut any
and all programs that it can.
Our film and infrastructure
tax programs are not immune to budgets cuts!
We have raised approximately $9,500 so far, which is far
below the anticipated $70,000 we will need to spend over this
year and the next to save and improve the Arizona Film Tax
Incentive Program.
